The notebook presents the painting „Red Umbrella” made by Józef Mehoffer in 1917. It belongs to the collection of the National Museum in Cracow.

The painting shows the painter’s wife in an estate in Jankówka near Cracow. The woman is immersed in reading and shielded from the sun by the titular red umbrella. The canvas is the artist’s farewell to the estate he sold in the same year.
