The heritage of Polish folk art gathers primarily regional embroidery.The Wilanów pattern was created in the area of western Mazovia – the left bank of the Vistula. Now, most of the region is the administrative area of Warsaw, which includes: Wilanów, Powsin, Ujazdów and Służew. Usually, the Wilanów pattern includes symmetrically arranged, black flowers. The main background color is white. The first embroidery appeared before the First World War. They belong to the collection of the ethnographic Museum in Warsaw and the Museum in St. Petersburg.
