It belongs to the collection of the National Museum in Cracow.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The artist worked under the pseudonym “Andrzej Ansgary”. He lived in the years 1866-1895. He was a Polish painter and illustrator. Also a precursor of impressionism in Poland. Towards the end of his life he leaned towards symbolism.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n His most famous painting is the title “Frenzy of Exultation”. It shows a naked woman sitting on a horse that “rears”. It was shown for the first time in an atmosphere of scandal during an exhibition at the Warsaw Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts.
