The painting “Man eating crayfish” was created by Roman Kramsztyk in the years 1918 – 1919. It belongs to the collection of the National Museum in Warsaw. The Polish-French-Jewish artist portrayed Karol Szuster while consuming crayfish. The protagonist’s face is full of satisfaction and seriousness. The tablecloth, on the other hand, shows the snobbery of the eater. Crayfish were a rarity only for the chosen ones. And the tablecloth is placed in two donkey ears next to the eater’s head.
